This song was written about a series of dreams. Since I was a very young child I was plagued with dreams about dying in tidal waves. One night however, in my early 30s, at around a time when I felt I was finally starting to get my life in order and becoming comfortable wit who I was, I went to sleep and started having another dream about a tidal wave. In the dream, I thought, "Oh jeez, here we go again..." and I braced for the impact, waiting for the wave to hit me... but it didn't. I hesitantly looked up and saw the wave hovering above me, but it was stable. I thought, in the dream, "I'm tired of dying in tidal waves, and I can stop that wave from falling." Then I woke up, and have not had a tidal wave dream since.

I used this song at the end of the album as it seemed appropriate here- on an album that explores the struggles of mental, emotional, and spiritual growth, it seemed right to end things on a hopeful, high note. Life is hard, change and growth are difficult, but peace is always a possibility too.
